The amphora—so soft in its welcoming shape yet so mysterious—requires attention and care. The 2006 vintage teaches us a great deal about this knowledge. The resulting wine is very full-bodied, rounded, and characterized by a distinct structure and significant tannins. Maceration on the skins takes place for six months in the amphora, before aging in wood for a couple of years.
